Description:

In Bellydance of the Pyramids, Tribal Fusion belly dancer Rachel Brice displays her characteristic back bend pose in front of my favourite ancient wonder of the World, the pyramids of Giza in Egypt. The night sky features the Ursa Minor constellation, with the 'North Star' Polaris overhead. Produced in cooperation with photographer Mark Rahmani - MVGals (Thanks Mark).

Both the belly dancer and the background are painted entirely with a knife. A high level of contrast is provided and the colours made extremely rich, bold and lustrous, thus creating a very contemporary feel overall.

It's a very large, very dramatic, emotive, moody and atmospheric figurative belly dance painting in an Arabic setting that would not look out of place as a feature in a lounge, study, office, music room, conservatory, bedroom, hall, landing or similar room and be a focal point to be proud of.

Shown below is a photo of the original oil painting in a frame for exhibition purposes and a photo of a print on a stretched canvas. Unfortunately, the picture quality isn't so good due to camera limitations though you get the idea...

Contact myself for more information about this beautiful work of art, or if you would like to purchase it. Obviously, the quality of the original painting and prints is much better than displayed here, though if you wish to make a closer inspection, please let me know of any specific area you're interested in and I'll e mail a higher resolution image to you.
