Description:

The "Voodoo Queen' of Flamenco, Spanish Flamenco Dancer Maria Serrano relaxes after her passionate and powerful performance of Carmen...

"Maria Serrano is a volcanic phenomenon. She dances her inspiration into purity. Sometimes one gets the impression
that she is obsessed with jumping devils and only a few moments later she totally belongs to the deepest melancholies.
Her art´s home is always in the magic. It cannot be explained, only admired." (André Heller)

Produced in cooperation with dancer Maria Serrano and Siggi Kögel (Thanks Maria and Siggi)

Painted entirely with a knife. A high level of contrast is provided and the colours made extremely rich, bold and lustrous, thus creating a very contemporary feel overall.

It's a large, very dramatic, passionate, emotive, moody and atmospheric figurative dance painting that would not look out of place as a feature in a lounge, study, office, music room, conservatory, bedroom, hall, landing or similar room and be a focal point to be proud of.

This painting will be supplied framed in a heavy, high quality Arqadia frame. Contact me for details
